Welcome to Carriou Innovation, a pioneer in technological solutions since 1989.
Founded 35 years ago by Xavier Carriou, our company specializes in the design and manufacture of innovative products based on unique patents. Since its creation, Carriou Innovation has filed 41 patents, some in collaboration with leading optical brands, contributing to the advancement of key sectors such as optics and audiology.
We have had the honor of working with R&D teams from major companies such as Essilor, Rodenstock, BBGR, and Nikon in the field of optics, and Resound, Unitron, MedRx, and Audika in the field of hearing aids. The products we have developed have played a key role in the evolution of these exciting fields, offering cutting-edge solutions to complex technical needs.
Today, our company is at the forefront of innovation in the treatment of tinnitus. We create high-performance software and equipment to help alleviate this condition, improving the well-being of our users. By combining expertise, research, and passion, Carriou Innovation continues to open new horizons in these areas, and our commitment to innovation remains stronger than ever.
Our Team
A family-run team
At Carriou Innovation, we are proud to be a family-owned business, founded by Xavier CARRIOU, an audiologist, optician, and computer scientist. For over 35 years, I have dedicated my career to innovation in the fields of audiology and optics. Today, I am joined by my two sons, both engineers, who bring unique expertise to our projects.
Louis Carriou, a graduate of the École Supérieure d'Électronique de l'Ouest, specializes in connected devices. He is notably the creator of a sound bar equipped with a rail-guided speaker, offering an unrivaled 2° accuracy for sound localization tests. This system is considered the best localization test in the world.
Sébastien Carriou, an engineer from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers, specializes in fluid dynamics. He developed Audio Engine, a revolutionary algorithm that allows the generation of any sound in real-time. Thanks to this unmatched technological achievement, we created Tinnitometer, the only software in the world capable of modeling all types of tinnitus, as well as an advanced hearing aid adjustment software. The latter, with its 24-band adjustment, is currently the most precise tool on the market for tuning hearing aids.
